I got the same thing Ian. The jdbgmgr.exe "virus" is a hoax. Go here http://hoaxbusters.ciac.org/cgi-bin/mfs/www/hoaxbusters/archive?link=http:// hoaxbusters.ciac.org/HBMalCode.shtml&file=/www/hoaxbusters/HBMalCode.shtml&l ine=1573#mfs and read up about it. An excerpt from the CIAC page: "The jdbgmgr hoax is almost the same as the sulfnbk hoax in that it tells you to delete a program that was installed with Windows. jdbmgr.exe is the Java Debugger Manager and does have an icon that looks like a Teddy Bear. It is not, normally, a virus. As with all executables, it is not impossible to have a copy of jdbmgr.exe that is infected by a virus but that virus will be detected by your antivirus software." It instructed me to look for 'JDBGMGR.EXE' and delete it, claiming that 'JDBGMGR.EXE' is a virus. Well, the message itself is a virus. 'JDBGMGR.EXE' is part of Microsofts Java runtime. > > Ian > - - - -To subscribe/unsubscribe, email "majordomo@xmission.com" - -In the email body, write "subscribe canslim" or - -"unsubscribe canslim".
