In the current gold market, the key is to look long-term, not short term.
With that in mind, a strike by gold miners will reduce supply which should
increase the price. This is a situation where the price could explode to the
upside. Rather than make quick trading profits, the key is to hold for the
long-term and get long-term capital gains.

With the June 28 debt deadline for the federal debt approaching, anything
could happen but my foreign friends all report that many of their clients
are reducing their holdings of US securities and treasuries. Doesn't look
too good for the US $, the stock markets, or the Treasury market in the near
future.

It is probably just a matter of time before we see the US $ index at par,
gold much higher and long-term interest rates increasing significantly.

Congratulations to you Fred. Looks like you get the last laugh.

Tell me, are you concerned about the strike in South Africa? Will that
cause the sector to go up or down?

  Charley
