and, as Katherine so well pointed out, too many eyes on the same stock is dangerous, especially in a lousy "M" where there are few for investors or institutional managers to find on their own. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Triffet" <btriffet@earthlink.net> To: <canslim@lists.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 22, 2002 12:46 AM Subject: Re: [CANSLIM] TOO + DRS + IBD = hmmmm Dave, This theory has been tossed around here but mosty it's been dismissed as general market trends or underlying problems. Also, TOO and DRS were featured because of the high canslim numbers - not an IBD recommendation. For many traders that's too much advertising and take quick profits. Given the speed of information now though, I tend to think that the high IBD indicators mostly represent late indicators in this current market. I feel that when a stock gets to a high IBD rating it is almost too late. I also find they have made several bases already and may be tired. Perhaps a mid but rising RS value is a better catch than one that's there already. - -Bill - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Canslim Dave" <canslimdave@yahoo.com> > I'm new to the group and just wanted to weigh in with > something I've noticed since IBD began featuring > companies showing good chart patterns in Weblink. > Both TOO and DRS both sold off with HUGE volume within > a week or so after being featured in IBD as ideal buy > candidates.
