I see a few charts holding up (adult education type stuff like COCO) and a few
retailers, but these don't seem like industries that produce market leaders (I guess a
few retailers in the past have been leaders, like WMT and HD), so I'm still not able
to figure out which industries might produce the next batch of leading stocks. We
really had a technology explosion in the nineties, a number of tech sectors grew like
crazy, but now bunches of them (DELL, MSFT, INTC, etc) seem like mature
companies that are too large to produce rapid growth, and their respective
businesses aren't growing as quickly anymore either. I suppose sooner or later
some new industries will emerge, it will become clear in about the middle of the
next bull market.
