Gold was hit heavy after the close in NYC and dropped over $2 but in overseas markets has climbed above the NY high. The Euro continues to gain against the dollar in overnight trading and despite the Bank of Japan's intervention, the dollar has fallen through 116 and is trending down. Alan Greenspan is to testify today before Congress and it will be interesting to see if any Senator asks him about the manipulation of the stock market and/or the gold market. If they don't, you know that we have elected individuals who are afraid to ask and demand answers to hard questions. Should be another interesting day in the market.
