Dear All,

This list is degenerating into something more like you would find at
Ragingbull.com rather than we are accustomed to here.

There's a disinsentive to post at all if there is a risk of ridicule and
worse, abuse, in return. That has the potential to diminish the number and
value of postings, and we will all be the losers. The answer is to treat
every contributor with respect and keep the snide comments to oneself.

All "cliques" (and professions) have their language constructs (slang) that
allow them to communicate within the group more effectively - e.g. (another
abbreviation) the surfing sub-culture - and this group is no different. I
have found that contributors are more than willing to explain their
shorthand when asked, and share their investing logic as well. The great
value of this group over many others is that we can learn the underlying
theory and logic behind CANSLIM, not just the latest, maybe, hot stock.

I'm reminded of the old adage: "If you catch a man a fish, you've given him
a meal. If you teach him to fish, you've given him food for life".
