Katherine-don't you know that "ignorance is bliss". Your chart took =
away some of my ignorance and with it went some of my bliss( caused by =
the market rally for the last few days) I wonder if there is a chart =
available in the exact same format that shows the bounces in this bear =
market since its start. Could you let us know? I think after a big =
gulp and 10 deep breaths I could handle it. Nancy

  Hi Ian,

I find the percentage gains in so many stocks these days to be =
humorous. When a stock has dropped from $200 to $2, then jumps to $2.25 =
in a day, the 12.5% gain seems enormous....ah, perspective, it's a =
wonderful thing....

I've attached a chart showing the percentage gains in the 29-32 bear =
market rallies. Interesting vantage point....

    Morning all:

Since last Wednesdays low - just 3 days of trading, the markets have =
had an amazing run:

    The DOW is up a whopping 14.5 % (from 7489 to 8573)

    The S&P is up 13.8% (from 776 to 883)

The NAZ is up 9.5% (from 1192 to 1305)

These are mind-boggling returns BEFORE the chance for a traditional =
follow-through-day (4-10 days after the bottom).

Does anyone know the history of these things? Is it possible to get =
a bottom confirmation rally after already advancing almost 15% from the =
bottom? Or is this just another fast and furious, take what you can get, =
bear market short squeeze? Opinions?

    Thank you,

    Ian
