Stop everything, I have found the answer to all of our concerns. I have
found a web service that has the following track record and all for
$19.95 per month

03/27/2000 Buy ProFunds UltraShort OTC
05/23/2000 Buy ProFunds Ultra OTC
09/05/2000 Buy ProFunds UltraShort OTC
09/21/2001 Buy ProFunds Ultra OTC
12/06/2001 Buy ProFunds UltraShort OTC

It is amazing, all you do is go to the site, sign in, and it tells you
exactly what to buy, when to buy, and how much to buy (with that type of
record, I am thinking about a large home equity loan to use). It all
seems legit. The URL is www.getrealitdoesnotexist.com

Investing is hard work. Investment strategies are designed to be
flexible. If you want something easy and guaranteed, go down to you
local bank, and purchase a CD. No hassle, no worries, and quite simple.
If you want to learn to be a good investor, roll up you sleeves, put on
your thinking cap and dive into it. Read as many books as you can, from
WON to Lynch to Bogel to Livermore to Gann to Graham and Dodd to Edwards
and McGee or whomever else you can think of who was successful at
investing. Take notes, compare styles, then find a formula that best
suits your personality. The billions that have been spent by Wall
Street firms searching for the "Holy Grail" is down the proverbial
toilet. Get real people, we are in a bear market. This is where the
wheat is separated from the chaff. Protect the one element you need for
successful investing - your principal. Take care all.

Wyndy

You clearly do not understand CANSLIM. Yes, by
following CANSLIM we would have "missed" the bear
market. This is what CANSLIM is designed for. To be
long during bull markets and out during bear markets.
This is a long only strategy and not a short strategy.
This was not a losing strategy. It did what is was
suppose to do. And of course it is going to be wrong
sometimes by calling market bottoms. If you are
looking for a strategy with a 100% track record, well
you will not find it.

To turn your arguement around, shorting stocks got you
killed during the bull market in 1998 and 1999. So I
guess this mean shorting doesn't work either?

You clearly doesn't like CANSLIM. Why do you waste
your time trying to prove it doesn't work and don't
rather concentrate your efforts on finding something
you are comfortable with? What do you gain by proving
something doesn't work?
