I don't get a sense of any Bush deadline, especially with elections =
coming in a few months. I see a lot of jawboning, to get both Congress =
and a multinational coalition on the side of an invasion. But I also see =
Saddam now starting to concede on some issues, like inspectors back in =
the country. Of course, it will have to be done on his terms, with =
inspections scheduled days in advance, and at sites he agrees to, etc.

So I don't know yet if this is simply a war of words, to force =
concessions from Saddam, or if Bush is serious about an invasion and =
toppling of the govt, whether he has the backing of Congress, Europe, =
Mid East, etc.

Tom: The unknown to us is the day Bush moves on Iraq, but I doubt that =
the date is unknown to him. My personal opinion is that our troops will =
be in Iraq before the end of October. Have you noticed that since he =
made the speech last week the opposition is beginning to switch? It =
