A few points to emphasize, this is a secondary sale of shares owned by the
majority shareholder, who remains a majority shareholder regardless. Because
it is a secondary offering, all proceeds go to the shareholder, not to the
company. The upside for existing / future shareholders is that there is more
liquidity due more shares available in the real float. And Artal, having
reduced their stake a little, now has less reason to be a seller in the
immediate future.

Because of the size of their position, it is very difficult for them to sell
a meaningful # of shares except thru a secondary. Setting a price below the
then market is pretty common, to make the shares attractive, and to ensure
completion of the deal.

HI Lin,

This is an excellent place to start when looking into a stock:

http://biz.yahoo.com/p/w/wtw.html

It provides a good launching pad for investigation and due diligence. Look
under the section just to the right entitled "Financial Summary" and click
on "Significant Developments." There, you'll notice the announcement of the
secondary offering by the private investment group, Artal Luxembourg S.A.

To learn more about seondary offerings, see:
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/secondaryoffering.asp

All investments have a "lifetime" and it's not uncommon for large investors
to cash out and move on to other investment opportunities. If you look at
the performance of WTW since going public, it may explain why they are
timing their exit as they are.

Katherine

| I wish this wasn't all so esoteric to me. I wish I knew where you were
| getting this info and how you were reading it. I wish I knew what terms
| such as "A secondary offering..." and "If the market oversubscribes..."
| means. I suspect that it is too lengthy a discussion for here. I have
| Datek streaming quotes on Medved quote tracker but this is probably not
| where this info is accessed. Maybe you could point me in the right
| direction.

|
| There are 106 million shares outstanding.
| Artal of Luxembourg had owned 94%.
| A secondary offering for 15 million shares for $630 million is being
| filled

| Artal

| If the market oversubscribes, there is provision to sell an additional

|
| Why is Artal selling, and why at $3 below the price on Monday?
