Chris, just a guess on my part, but looks to me like the "base" they are =
referring to is a volatile c&h, and they are using the flat line base =
that ran from 1/1/02 to 1/24/02 to establish a pivot point, rather the =
the high that immediately preceded the flat line base.

I am a little surprised they would get excited about volume 150% of ADV, =
rather than at least 200%, and in this "M" want more like 300 or 400%.

Because of the time that has already passed, I might have also =
disregarded the high set 12/27/01.

Can someone take a look at IGT's chart.  Just trying to interpret =
article in IBD on 9/11 re: IGT "clearing a base started in late =
December" and "bursting out of an 8 l/2 month base" - "volume finishing =
50% above its 50 day average" to close at $68.32...

In order to CLEAR a base, wouldn't price have to exceed $71.95 which was =
high on 12/27/01? =20
