excuse me, James Bond, but I have been a participating member of this forum for over six years, and not once during that time did I subscribe to IBD, even the free two week version. While I will be the first to speak up in favor of staying "on topic (that being CANSLIM)" even tho I am guilty some times of slipping off it, I find it hard to discuss an article someone read without reading it myself. If IBD doesn't hit the poster with a FedEx delivered legal notice for copyright infringement, then I have no problem skimming thru the article and deciding if I have someone worth saying or contributing to the thread, especially right now when daily posts are low enough to count on one hand. Maybe if 40 or 50 on topic emails were flowing in here daily, I might delete more quickly. But for now, I see no harm, and this particular issue is pertinent to the future health of businesses in CA, and the ability of that state (last I heard home of Silicon Valley, and several major Defense contractors) to not only retain major business, but attract new companies. For me, that spells part of "M". - ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Bond" <james_bond_3rd@yahoo.com> To: <canslim@lists.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2002 9:24 PM Subject: [CANSLIM] Please DO NOT repost IBD articles and stay on topic as much as possible. Anyone subscribing to this group will likely to also have subscription to IBD. So reposting IBD articles here is only a waste of bandwidth and everybody's time (in addition to possibly violating IBD's copyright). I was going to rant about the idiotic ultra-conservative IBD editorials but I don't think we should turn this forum into a political one so I'll stop here. I wish my state could pass a similar law (instead of all the tax breaks it gave to the companies and did nothing to help the economy and badly hurt the state budget). __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
