Subject: [CANSLIM] CANSLIM Hunting List 09/20/02

Hi All,

I've uploaded the latest CANSLIM Hunting list to:

http://WallStreet-LLC.com/canslim/CANSLIMHunting092002.xls ( a bit slow
to load)
http://WallStreet-LLC.com/canslim/CANSLIMHunting092002.zip ( a zipped
version for download)

In order to make it to the list, the stock had to have a forward growth
rate of at least 15%, Price at least 6, Avg Daily Vol at least 30K, RS
at least 60, no more than 15% below the 50 day SMA, and at or above the
200 day SMA. This is what I consider to be "bare bones" requirements for
CANSLIM quality stocks.Other information included is industry name
(slightly different than DGO's names, but close enough!), price, avg
vol, and links to graphs and due diligence sites on the internet. If
you'd like to look at last month's hunting list, you will find it at:

http://WallStreet-LLC.com/canslim/CANSLIMHunting082302.xls or
http://WallStreet-LLC.com/canslim/CANSLIMHunting082302.zip

This month there are 332 names, down 127 names from the list I posted
last month. The decrease certainly reflects the failed rally which
posted the final distribution day in early September, shortly after I
posted the previous list. This month, 187 names fell from the list, 61
new names came on board and 287 names are repeats. Though the list of
candidates tends to rotate, you have to be ready for any intermediate
term rally in order to make money on the long side. Who knows? One day
the Bear might actually be over and that short Bear rally might just
turn into a sustainable intermediate term move. If the market pulls a
long sideways as I've always believed it will (as in '65-'80), you'll
need to be well practiced at taking advantage of shorter rallies from a
list of rotating candidates.

Happy Hunting,
Katherine
