Merrill Lynch announced it will reduce its NASDAQ activities by
concentrating only on the 2,400 most active and widely held issues.
Obviously, the loss of a significant market maker is likely to hurt the
small caps, especially the thinly traded ones. Does anyone have a list of
those stocks where ML is a market maker? If possible, with any indication of
the size of their current inventory, since they will clearly dump anything
they are holding (or cover if they are short).
