Intellectual property rights is about a far off subject as you can get on this discussion group. But, I can see both sides of the argument, protection of proprietary information vs. 1st amendment rights. We can debate all day but for the moment, we all know WON's position. Back to stocks. Our list of candidates is growing. Our view is that this is a traders market; make 10%-20% - take some profits quickly, not an entire liquidation but at least 50% of your profitable position. The prices of equities are once again moving similar to commodities, except this time, on the downside. Large gaps down and cascading prices make the current environment treacherous for even the most seasoned investor/trader. Be patient! Take on one new position (at most) per week. See if it sticks (becomes profitable), then look to add new positions. No one initial position should be greater than 10% of your stake. 5% in these market conditions would be preferable, with the thought of adding if your trade became profitable. If your 5% position hits an air pocket, down say 15% in a day, that's less than a 1% hit to your overall portfolio. This is what has worked so well for us over the last three years; it should work well for all of you as well.
