Also, when you see the group making new highs, IBD identifies the stock
in the "52 Week Highs and Lows section on the same page as the "Groups
with Highest % of stocks making new highs".

And if I remember correctly, there was only one stock that was making a
new high and that accounted for the double digit percentage (as there
are not that many stocks in that group.)

Hi David,

The official answer to your question is that if you have only an IBD
subscription, you'll have to purchase the $35 "Industry Group and
Ticker
Symbol Index" book from IBD. In order to keep up to date, you'll need
to
purchase this about 4 times a year as each new edition is published.

If you have a subscription to DGO (about $700/year), believe it or not,
they
charge *extra* (about $100 a year) for viewing the stock by industry
information electronically. Incredible, but true.

In the meantime, here's my best shot at a list for the Fiber Optics
Networks
group:
CWCI, COI, FTGX, DIGL, CORV
With a list like this, made up of only 1 stock with an RS>60, I can't
figure
out how the industry ranks a 99!

You can also use the industry features at WallStreetCity or BigCharts
to get
an idea of stocks in the industry, though they won't match IBD's
exactly.
Another great resource is the BullSector list. Enter a stock and find
all
stocks in a similar industry or vice versa. Their industries are divied
up
more exclusively than IBD's, so again they don't match, but give a
better
view of "true competitors" than other sources:
