Hi Mike,

DISH *does* pass the midpoint test. Here's the chart going into the
breakout:

I've seen stocks creep into a breakout like this before, so I wouldn't call
it completely unusual, especially when folks are still tentative about the
market direction. If all the other technical characteristics are in place
and there was a shakeout in the handle, then it doesn't worry me as much. I
would expect to see DISH rise on higher volume and pull back on lower volume
as it continues to rise. As long as that continues, then the breakout is ok.
It's entirely possible that it will trace additional handles along the way
while it tries to break above the beginning of the consolidation back in
April.

Hi all,

Hope everyone had a great holiday season.

I spotted DISH the other day, and was wondering what everyone thought about
the chart. It looks like a cwh, but the handle formed below the mid-point
of the base, which I thought was a no-no. It appears to have ramped out of
the handle, rather than break out cleanly with a large volume day.

Any thoughts

Thanks

Mike
