Hi Morris,=20

I haven't looked at Katherine's chart yet (don't want to give her the =
chance to change my mind first). What I see is that the move in Nov '02 =
formed the right side of the cup (thus, not a b/o) which is where you =
want to see some volume. The move yesterday would be the b/o, as it =
surpassed the high point of the handle on nearly 2X ADV. The past five =
weeks built a decent handle, and on decreasing volume, again where you =
want to see the volume drying up.

Now I will go look at Katherine's chart, and be prepared to eat some =
humble pie for dinner!!

Hi Morris,

The work NBTY did in November of '02 was too low in the base for the =
subsequent move up to be considered a valid breakout. The midpoint of =
the "handle" at that time was below the midpoint of the base and also =
below the 200 day MA. See my annotated chart to see the cup and handle =
base and the breakout yesterday, 1/6:

  Am I reading this chart right. There was a break out at the end of =
November. and it formed a handle and has been going up on increased =
volume.=20
