shares outstanding, per DGO, is 52.4 million. float (outstanding less insider shares and other restricted shares) is 51.8 million. Insiders have nothing at risk, owning only 1% Ideally, I prefer to see insiders (Management preferably) with a substantial stake at risk on future performance. They work harder that way to make the company succeed. But with older companies, it is rare to see current management owning much, as they usually cash in their stock options right before expiration, and never own a significant amount of actual shares. - ----- Original Message ----- From: <BIKEAR@aol.com> To: <canslim@lists.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, January 26, 2003 7:50 PM Subject: Re: [CANSLIM] float? <PRE>what should the float be plus what is the float? - - - -To subscribe/unsubscribe, email "majordomo@xmission.com" - -In the email body, write "subscribe canslim" or - -"unsubscribe canslim".
