You should also note that there is a very RED flag screaming right in front
of the word "Former". That means, most likely, he can sell every single
share he wants without warning or restriction. The mere presence of his
extremely large block is sufficient to halt any real rally, even without him
selling any shares.
If he was still part of Management, his selling would be under more
restrictive terms, and require advance notice of intent to sell, if I
remember the rules correctly.
With such a large block held or controlled by one individual, he is also in
a position to sell controlling ownership, and still maintain a minority
position in the company.

Hi jans,
Anytime the shares in float is very small as a percent of outstanding, I
look for a parent company, spinoff circumstance, or equivalent:
From hoovers.com capsule:
"Former Chairman Jeffrey Picower owns nearly 80% of Alaris."
That's a very similar situation to APPX in which the CEO owns 60 or 70% of
the company through a complex ownership scheme through a private biotech
company (American Bioscience).

rc:
AMI does look as if it has broken out of a flat base that had extended
back to June/02. And its funamentals look nice also. The number of funds
that have bought it has nearly quintupled in the last 9 months.
What I don't understand, though, is: 1) With the stock doing as well
as
it is, why does DGO rate its "timeliness" as merely a "C". 2) DGO says that
management owns only 4% of the stock. But the float is only about 20% of
the
stock outstanding. So who owns this 80+% if not the mgt.?
Tom! Any ideas?
