Hi Mike, I don't agree that a sell decision should be based on the RSLine alone. I would look for other warning signs in combination with divergence, i.e. the stock is rising while the RSLine is declining. In GRMN's case, the RSLine is tracking sideways and the underlying rising RSLine trend is still intact. http://www.cwhcharts.com/katherine/GRMN060203.JPG Here's a close-up of the last 3 months. http://www.cwhcharts.com/katherine/GRMN060203CloseUp.JPG Katherine - -----Original Message----- From: owner-canslim@lists.xmission.com [mailto:owner-canslim@lists.xmission.com]On Behalf Of michael_niemotka@baxter.com Sent: Monday, June 02, 2003 12:40 PM To: canslim@lists.xmission.com Subject: [CANSLIM] M and positions As we know, many times stocks move with the general trend of the market as a whole. That being said, do any of you use the RS line to decide on closing a position? As an example, GRMN has been underperforming the market as a whole the last couple of weeks, and I am wondering if I should use this action (or lack thereof) to close out BEFORE reaching the 7-8% loss rule. In fact today, with the dow up 142, GRMN is down 0.31%. Any thoughts?
