Katherine,

Thanks for the analysis.  I just want to take the cautious route on
positions now, guess it is hard to believe in the rally, since so many
before it has turned tail.

For that same reason, I took off 1/4 of my MVL position today when it hit a
90% gain, since that was the target I set a while back (150% of 50dMA at
the time), even though I think the stock still looks goo overall.

Hi Mike,

I don't agree that a sell decision should be based on the RSLine alone. I
would look for other warning signs in combination with divergence, i.e. the
stock is rising while the RSLine is declining.

In GRMN's case, the RSLine is tracking sideways and the underlying rising
RSLine trend is still intact.

As we know, many times stocks move with the general trend of the market as
a whole.  That being said, do any of you use the RS line to decide on
closing a position?

As an example, GRMN has been underperforming the market as a whole the last
couple of weeks, and I am wondering if I should use this action (or lack
thereof) to close out BEFORE reaching the 7-8% loss rule.  In fact today,
with the dow up 142, GRMN is down 0.31%.

Any thoughts?
