MessageWhat I meant by this question was, how close are his stops to his =
buy price.
By buying extended stocks, you would have a greater risk of the stock =
pulling back below your buy price.

Interesting. But isn't the crucial question--What are his stops like?

Ann, we have a 'farmer' in our Dallas CANSLIM group that makes money =
buying stocks that are what some classify as extended (some add fully). =
I've been watching his picks for the past 2 years and his results are =
darn good as well as documented. His criteria:
EPS + RS >=3D 190
A/D =3D A
IBD Comp Rating >=3D 90=20
He buys stocks just as soon as they first meet these requirements.... =
certainly reduces the number of stocks that he watches.... I believe =
that his watchlist is limited to 15 total.
Of course he's buying heavily when 'M' is right and shorts when it =
isn't.
Uses stops for entry and trailing stops after in the trade (never =
lowers his stops).

It seems to me, as I hunt through WR and IBD100, that there are a =
lot of=20
overextended stocks, and not to many on the right side of their cup or
ready to break out.
It would seem to me that there could be two reasons for this:
1. The rally is going to wane.
2. The WR and IBD100 do not produce stocks at this state of their
development.
Any comments??
