Hi jans,

Vectorvest does not have "a" short strategy. They have tools to let you
design short strategies out the wazoo, just as they have tools to let you
design long strategies out the wazoo. Mechanical strategies in VV do not
include chart formations at all but instead use the Relative Timing
indicator as a proxy for technical action. That's something I've described
in detail many times here on the CANSLIM list, so won't bore people with the
details. They also have an optional add-on technical charting package that
allows you to scan for chart patterns, much like TC2000 or MetaStock, though
less comprehensive.

Gene, Katherine or anyone:

I'd be interested in knowing about VV's short strategy. What is it?
And it doesn't use chart formations at all? (This last contention I find
hard
to believe).

more bear markets than he can remember. He tried to do it with chart
formations and it's not the way to go with shorts. VectorVest is right on
target with
short strategies, and it's at the touch of a button.
