Marc, From DJ News on NSCN -=20 "Revenue growth of 77% is still very impressive in this market, but a = slowdown in deferred revenue, margin compression and revenue guidance at = to slightly below the street for next quarter will likely cause shares = to retreat from their lofty valuation," wrote J.P. His note indicated no conflicts of interest around the = company.=20 Citing an expected slowdown in sales in some Asia Pacific countries in = the September quarter in a kind of delayed reaction to the SARS = outbreak, NetScreen said it expects revenue for the period to be about = $66.9 million to $68.2 million, compared with the First Call estimate of = $68.2 million. "We like NetScreen, but the stock has been priced on extremely = aggressive upside expectations, in our view," wrote Merrill Lynch's = analyst Ed Maguire in a research note Thursday morning. Earnings were announced after hours, $0.18 per share diluted vs -$0.03 per share same quarter last year. Sales went from $36 to $64 million. The stock dropped more than $4 after hours. The only explanations for this situation that I am aware of is that some were expecting better results and those expectations had been built into the stock price. Or perhaps there is something else in the earnings announcement that stated a lowering of expectations for a future period. - --- Duane Runnels <drunnels@kiva.net> wrote: > Anybody here following ADVP? > Earnings came out today after the close and from what I can tell > they're record earnings.
