Me too. I had the problem last night, and did not ralize until I saw it in
the paper today that it was a virus. Good news is that it does not attack
files or anything.

If you already are infected, the virus blocks attempts to do the windows
update. If you go to symantec.com you can download a free program to get
rid of it.

The best thing to do is to go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and
install all the "Critical Updates". Whether you have W95/98/NT/2k/XP/2k3
it does not matter.

Just a heads up...
There is a new worm virus going around (which I just got last night )
called MSBlaster. My latest updated virus software missed it. Thankfully
it's easily removed.

If you notice your system locking up or "acting funny", look in your
Task Manager/Processes for the MSblaster process.
