According to Thomas Bulkowski (Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns). There does not seem to be that huge of a correlation between huge volume breakout and just a breakout. An excerpt of his statistics is included in http://www.tradersnetwork.org/education_channel/articles/bulkowski__encyclopedia_chart_patterns_01.htm Hope it helps... Pritish >>> michael_niemotka@baxter.com 8/19/2003 11:50:04 AM >>> Does anyone know if any studies have been conducted to determine if there is a relationship between the volume % on the day of breakout relative to future success? So, if stock A breakout out and rises 3% on it's breakout day, with volume 200% of 50dMA , but stock B breaks out , only rises 1%, but does so on 1000% of 50dMA?
