HI Jeff,

The IBD has posted a copy of the article containing the screening criteria
to their site:

Do you know what screen they used for Canslim?

Hi All,

As a followup to my post earlier today, I just received the new AAII
journal
in today's mail and it includes the mid-year update of the AAII screens.

Here's a guote from the article:

"The long-term performance leader in the growth category continues to be
the
William O'Neil CANSLIM approach, generating a 503% gain over the past
5-1/2
years without a single down year."

By the way, this is their 2nd best screen, the leader is the Marty Zweig
growth & value screen with a compounded annual return of 572.5% over the
same period.

Hi Hong,

Here are links to the 2001 and 2002 articles. AAII updates these studies
periodically during the year, and more recently published an article in
which they'd updated their screening criteria for CANSLIM stocks.

These are the year end studies from the prior 2 years:

http://www.breakoutwatch.com/katherine/AAIIStudy2001.pdf
http://www.breakoutwatch.com/katherine/AAIIStudy2002.pdf

You'll notice that that the entry/exit strategy is not based on
technical
entry on chart pattern, but instead on whether or not the stock meets
their
fundamental screening criteria.

      John,

I saw an advertisement on IBD. The advertisement claims AAII had a
study which compared 50 investment approaches. I wonder you know of
that. I would like to know what investment approaches were included in
the study and how AAII conducted the study as CANSLIM never tell when to
purchase/sell a list of stocks. I went to www.aaii.com web site and
didn't see any reference to that study report.

Do you happen to know where I could get the study report? Thanks,
- -Hong
