I would buy it after the earnings come out tomorrow (basically buy it on Friday). But if I were to venture a guess, I think they will post a stellar earnings. They operate retail video gaming stores. The retail sales for the past quarter have been great. Plus the video game market has been growing like crazy with the 25-35 age groups. Each video game averages around $30 to $40 (US) average. Plus new games are coming out fast. Finally, GameStop (a similar retail chain) posted 8% profit increase on 11% sales increase. This drove up the GME price yesterday and today. One thing that I would be iffy about is their profit increase. It should have grown more than 11% as sales increased 11% so there is some issue that is keeping their profit down -- whether it be operating overhead or something else. While the recent uptrend is encouraging and on a weekly chart, the current price has penetrated the downward sloping trend line, you must ask yourself . . . What is my reason for investing in this company? Your answer to that question will tell you if you should buy it today? - -----Original Message----- From: owner-canslim@lists.xmission.com [mailto:owner-canslim@lists.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Krueger, Kevin Sent: Wednesday, August 20, 2003 9:00 AM To: canslim@lists.xmission.com Subject: [CANSLIM] ELBO - thoughts on where to get in?
