	I believe this is a rehash of an old thread but I'm looking for
credit cards
	(prefer MC/Visa) that offer rebates that beat Discover Card's.
Discover pays
	up to 1%.

	I plan to charge about $7000 next year, so much of an annual fee
will wipe out
	the rebate benefit.   I've heard that Shell Gasoline has a good
card.  Anyone
	know?

Scott,

The Shell card is a reasonably good deal if you normally buy
Shell gasoline (unfortunately no shell conveniently located for us).
You get 5% back from all Shell gas purchases, and 1% back
from all other purchases.  The catch is that this only goes towards
paying of Shell gas purchases on your credit card -- automatically
taken off.  

Its also capped at $70 back.  IMO, it makes sense if you use
Shell regularly; then by all means get it exclusively for that at
least.  But for all other things, I'll take the 1% cash back that
a Discover card gives you.. (assuming certain volume). YMMV.
