Thanks Bob - but no thanks! The govt of this country takes ENOUGH
of my paycheck every month and wastes atleast 50% of it on USELESS
CRAP. I have over 30 years left to go until retirement and I don't
plan on seeing a dime of ANY money that I put into the SS system
so I am certainly not keen on kicking in any more for anyone else.
If we want to make SS work (along with govt in general) it's time
Americans stopped being so damn lazy and complacent and started
holding their elected officials responsible for thier corrupt actions.
They frivolously spend our money on pork, and what they don't spend
they can't account for - then they want to raise taxes again to fund
some other scam for some special interest to get themselves elected
next time around. This is where our hard earned money goes. I
budget my money to stay afloat every month - but the govt(s) who
get 40% of my paycheck don't need to budget ... they've got suckers
like me (us) who'll keep paying!
Oh yeah, and next time we need to send a few billion dollars to some
god-forsaken dictatorship somewhere, or spend a few billion dollars
on some useless space exploration trip to nowhere, maybe we can use
that money to solve our SS problem ... or maybe we would use that
money to relieve the tax burden on low/middle class wage earners ...
or MAYBE better yet we can feed and clothe our citizens and insure
our children. Wouldn't THAT be nice!
(Check the facts: Did you know this country has the HIGHEST percentage
of children under the poverty line of ANY developed country in the
world? Children without health insurance and not enough food to eat.
Speaks VOLUMES for the future of our country.)
... and we are "The leader of the free world". God bless America.
This is just my opinion - but I'm sure many of you will agree.
