After several years with a secured M/C credit card account at Cap One (NYSE:
COF), I had to pressure them to follow their own policy of converting it to an
unsecured account.

After receiving several solicitations for fee-free M/C accounts, I pointed
this out to Cap One and asked for to have my annual fee waived. They balked. I
canceled the account and now have a fee-free CitiBank M/C account.

Apparently they are one of the many companies which are making so much money
that they do not have to rely on repeats or referrals or brand loyalty for
business. It must be nice. Don't try that in a small town, Mr. Business Man.
One wonders why their stock price has been on the rise for the past 12mo.
