I have a small "side" business of tech writing and web design and I've been getting these "pre-approved" solicitations for an American Express Corporate Card. Right now I have a few regular credit cards that I use for personal and business expenses but it sounds kind of convenient to have one card that will be dedicated to my business expenses (I know I could do this with any card) that will provide detailed statements of my expenditures. The major downsides are 1) the $55 annual fee 2) having to pay balance in full each month (this could be hard with a major purchase like a new computer) The upsides are 1) itemized statements 2) not paying interest on business expenses (I know I could do this on any card but if I don't have to, I might try to spread a large purchase over a few months) Can anyone think of a reason why I would BENEFIT from having a corporate AmEx card versus a no-fee Visa/MC? (yes, part of me is buying into AmEx's new marketing to "younger" entrepreuners ;-P) Thanks, Kristina kmiranda@earthlink.net - -
