   We are planning a major purchase ($5,000) and would like to use a credit card for it.
We've had a lot (about one a day) of offers for low cost balance transfers and thought
It might be a nice idea if we could exploit these offers to best effect.

   Anyone have any experience charging major purchase (like college tuition, which a number
  of colleges offer) on one or more credit cards and getting the maximum effect (rebates,
  frequent flier miles, paper towels at BJs, etc.) from it.

   Thought this would be an interesting topic.
