To all persfin subscribers,

You should have received (at least) one email inviting you to change over
to the new persfin list at Yahoo Groups. Some people might have received
more than one email because I was experimenting early on.

If you have received the email and wish to subscribe, just REPLY to the
email, however it's done in your email software.

To post via the Web go to:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/persfin

You might also consider setting up a Yahoo Groups login. If you use Yahoo
for other things (like email) it should work for Yahoo Groups as well.

The Yahoo Search feature doesn't yet work for persfin. I think it's
because originally I set the list up with egroups.com. Yahoo bought out
egroups and probably hasn't updated their search engine for the new groups
yet. I'll be writing to the Yahoo admin to try to straighten this out.

There are a ton of nifty features that we should take advantage of, such
as:

   - file upload and download
   - favorite links (feel free to add!)
   - chat room
   - calendar (we can plan forums and events!)
   - polls (we can vote on Bush's tax proposal)
   - database creation
   - promotion tools (if you have a Web site, you can include a link to
subscribe to persfin)

..and many features that from a moderator's viewpoint, really help...

We can make persfin something really special and unique - perhaps
renewing that old spirit of cooperation that seems to have vanished from the
Internet.

Please post your suggestions, or email me
(ikrakow_1999@yahoo.com) if you prefer. I look forward to sharing this
experience with all of you.

Sincerely,
Ira

PS - I have the list of persfin subscribers as of 3 years ago. I will be
soliciting them to rejoin. It's an old list, but some of you may be on it.
So if you receive *another* invitation to subscribe, and you're already
subscribed, please ignore it.
