Dear Peresfiners,

I would like to start withdrawing a fixed amount of $ from my IRA's using
one of the substantial equal payments methods. I have found that many of
the issuing funds families or brokerage houses don't know a lot about it.
The IRS is very picky about having it done the right way.

>From what I have found out they will issue the dollar amount that you
specify (assuming it is reasonable) - and it must be a fixed dollar
amount withdrawn for at least 5 years - more if you are not 59 1/2 by the
last year.

My question is - what is the proper form that the IRS wants to see for this
transcaction so you won't have to pay a penalty? Is ie a 1099R?

Has any one out there done this and have you had any problems with it?

Thanks

Gary gnye@rpa.net
