Useful links re: H1N1 (swine flu)

Least-known, most practical for home care: Good Home Treatment of Influenza, a 35-page "practical guide to home care of mild to severely ill patients that relies on a simple common sense approach" by Grattan Woodson, MD, FACP. The above link goes to Dr.Woodson's page for that guide, which he generously permits to be copied, if appropriate credit is given.
Although initially written with a focus on Avian flu, it was updated in 2006, and I found it very helpful when we cared for an ill friend in our home recently, because it answers many questions that are not addressed in office-visit followup instructions.

The site labeled simply Pandemic Flu Information (PFI) contains quite a variety of useful links for professionals and families alike. I highly recommend their page on treatments, for family members or individuals "Pandemic Reference Guides - Flu Treatment". This is where I first encountered a reference to Good Home Treatment of Influenza.

More widely-known: Excellent site with a range of resources and NY-specific statistics: New York City Dept of Health & Mental Hygeine

State of Utah Office of Epidemiology's Novel H1N1 Flu page, with Multiple links for Utah-based info, and "latest announcements" from CDC (Center for Disease Control).
