REFERRAL PROCEDURE:
- Student admits the charges.
- Parent and student agree to participate in Peer Court on a voluntary
basis.
- Fill out the referral form. Fax or email to Peer Court and we will
contact the referred party.

- If the referred youth does not complete the program successfully,
the case will be returned back to the original referring agency/party.
- The referring agency/party will be notified upon the successful
completion of the case. We will also be happy to respond to any follow
up inquiries made by the referring agency/party at any time during the
process.
PEER COURT
IS
NOT
AN OPTION FOR YOUTH WHO:
- Are 19 yrs of age or older (If
they are 18 they must still be enrolled in school)
- Are under Juvenile Court jurisdiction for
law violations, or have a matter pending with Juvenile Court. (Unless this is a school infraction that would not be referred to
Juvenile Court)
- have committed a drug related offense
TYPES OF OFFENSES ACCEPTED:
- Truancy
- Fighting (we provide mediation for disputantants and follow up with
court hearings)
- Assault
- Disorderly Conduct
- Tobacco
- Shoplifting
- Theft
- Trespassing
- Alcohol (first offense only)
- Other (those not yet designated but that can benefit from Peer Court
intervention )
