The tyranist's thoughts
Why do people make video games into movies? It never really works. And and even bigger
question: why do people keep giving Uwe Boll money to make video games into movies?
There's a gateway between our world and a "world of darkness." Someone is trying to open
it. Evil things will come through. The world will be destroyed. And some other stuff.
I never played this video game, but if it is as exciting as the movie was, I've seen enough.
With and all-star cast like Christian Slater and Tara Reid, you might expect this to be a
top-flight movie, but somehow it falls short. The script is nothing but regurgitated video
game mass. The cinematography seems to have been done by someone overly sensitive
to light. The whole plot, just sort of doesn't make sense. Yup, typical Uwe Boll.
There really wasn't anything to redeem this. It isn't the worst movie I've ever seen, but
it isn't even near mediocre. You'd think I would learn to stay away from these, but every
once in a while, I find myself wondering if they've gotten any better. They never have.
There's no reason to sit through this one. Even big fans of Tara Reid (and I know you exist
out there) aren't going to find anything to really latch onto here.
