The tyranist's thoughts
I saw this once a long time ago and I have nothing but fond memories so when I decided that it would make a good Halloween flick, I had a lot of high hopes. Fortunately it mostly stands up to my original memory of it. This movie is one of the funnest vampire movies ever made. I might say that Lost Boys has an edge on it, but not by much. Here they've taken everything we love about vampire movies and distilled it down into a troubled teen's nightmare. They pay homage to the classic Dracula legend as well as the many movies that have featured vampires since then. I say relax and let the movie work its magic. You will have fun and there are a lot of vampire movies that I can't say that about.
