Rish Outfield's reviews
There was a big bad happening years ago on Valentine's Day, and nobody's celebrated it since then. But this year, they do. And the fun begins.
Although some of this movie wasn't so great, there were some nice elements to it. I enjoyed the backstory and the genuine fear the townspeople had for the killer. It also had a novel setting, and at least one fake scare that really worked. The ending was pretty stupid, though. And that's really all I have to say about that.
Note: Upon further examination, it appears the above review was written by Forrest Gump.

The tyranist's thoughts
Why would anyone make a movie like this? I guess that the holiday thing in horror is always popular, but what about the rest of it?
I've heard things about this movie that just aren't borne out by a viewing of it. This is a pretty typical bad slasher. I laughed at the silly things they did and plot inconsistencies. The killer was sort of scary but sort of not. The characters were often stupid. See? Pretty typical.
About the only thing that the movie really had going for it where the hearts in the candy boxes. At least that would be a little creepy.
The acting wasn't particularly bad, but cutting through the Canadian accents wasn't that hard, but we had fun making fun of them anyway. The idea was pretty solid but really fell apart toward the end. I think the thing that really held the movie back and undid whatever good it could of done was the way they withheld information. There were several times when it was obvious that certain characters had information that we didn't (and one of those instances ultimately reveals who the killer is). If they had given us something to work with then we could have tried to piece the puzzle together, but they kept us in the dark until the very end and then revealed the killer in a stupid flashback/vision sort of way.
I wouldn't see this if I were you, but who knows, others have loved it.
