Rish Outfield's reviews
Tremendously stupid. How did this movie spawn endless sequels? And how come people like it so much? The Tall Man was pretty bland, not scary at all, so how did he become a cult figure? Who would've thought that Jawas could be so dangerous? Questions best left unanswered, I guess. We did have a great laugh at the Ball attacking one guy, and I'd almost recommend it for that shot alone. Still, the rest was so bad, and the kid was so thoroughly unlikable, I can't recall ever rooting so hard for evil to win. Oh, except maybe Jack-O.
Best Scare: There had to be at least one scare among the silliness . . . but none come to mind.
I'd Recommend It To: You. But only you.
Note: A Special Edition was recently released, making me wonder if I missed something. After all, if this film has enough of a following to warrant a deluxe edition. I'll admit, the tagline "If this one doesn't scare you, you're already dead" is pretty clever, but I stand behind my review.

The tyranist's thoughts
For how popular this little series is this movie sucked. I expected to be frightened and it just didn't happen. We laughed so hard when the ball attacked the mortician's lackey that I couldn't breathe for about ten minutes. Then we watched it again because I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. My problems all come down to one thing with this movie. I just didn't understand what was going on quick enough and they never even tried to catch me up.
