Rish Outfield's reviews
This one has a new Mary Lou, who's still beautiful, still horny, but with an
all-new agenda and powers. It's love rather than revenge here. The villain
was less evil than before, more annoying. Of the three movies, this was
the funniest--tyranist and I often wondered if it was horror or comedy. It
wasn't too bad (better than the first one, at least). This one had a lovely
heroine and an attractive, charismatic star. It showcased great 80's
fashions. The ending didn't satisfy me, but ah well. There was ample
opportunity for nudity squandered here. Mary Lou is no John Ryder, but she's
real cool.
Best Scare: Actually, a body fell down, which DID scare me.
I'd Recommend It To: Comedy/horror fans, especially of the second film.
The tyranist's thoughts
Not as quite as smart and dead on as the Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II, this one is still delightful
and just a lot of fun to watch. It features the return of screenwriter Ron Oliver and the same Mary Lou character as
terrorized Hamilton High last time around.
The best part of this one is probably the scenes in hell. The make up is pretty good and when she shoves the bomb down Mary
Lou's dress . . . oh . . . you haven't seen it. Well, I don't want to give it all away. Just let me say that I found the end
interesting, Rish found it confusing. I would highly recommend watching them back to back, but know that the first is better.
I think it makes me smile favorably on this one. And just know that she doesn't get mad, she bakes.
