The tyranist's thoughts
I just watched this last night and I am already trying to forget it so forgive me if this isn't the most informative
review. I think I started trying to forget it moments after it started and have just gone down hill since then.
So there's this "rich" family who is installing a satellite dish (remember, this was made in the 80's) and they have
a few problems. One of those problems turns out to be a beamed down garbage field from the planet Pluton. Guess what is
in it. Yep, a mean, nasty alien.
They tried really hard to walk the line between horror and comedy and ended up truly failing in both respects. I found
no part of the movie entertaining and definitely not scary. In fact, the acting was so hammed up that I only held back
from the skull because I'm sure they were told to do it that way.
Diane Franklin (a favourite of mine) appears and makes me wish she hadn't. The rest of the cast is just as bad. The idea
wasn't exactly horrible, but the way it ended up is abominable. Just think folks, this is the same crew that went on to
found Full Moon Pictures.
Well, see it if you must, but I recommend avoiding it.
