The tyranist's thoughts
I waited way too long to write this review. Actually, it's only been a week since I watched the movie and it took me fifteen minutes staring blankly at the TV to recall anything from it. Maybe that will tell you how forgettable it was.
A group of 4 kids (go ahead, you know who the four were: nerd, stoner, jock, cheerleader, they've only been in every horror flick over the last 8 years) and their teacher all go to a boarded up school that is about to be torn down. Why do they go? Well, in the movie the teacher gives some lame-ass excuse, but really there is no good reason. Oh, and the school seems to be haunted. But no one knew that. Until now.
This really is pretty standard haunted house sort of fair with the only unigue twists being that a) it is a school and not a house and b) the cast is all black. With a super-low budget that was likely almost all spent on one decent effect, there just isn't much here for the casual viewer.
The film isn't terrible, though. It's just not good. And there's nothing worse than mediocrity folks.
I have to admit that I picked this one up because it had the Full Moon logo on the back. Those of you that have been reading for a while will know the love I hold for Full Moon. Unfortunately, this was a flick they picked up for distribution rather than one of their originals. I should have spotted that sooner and stayed away.
