Rish Outfield's reviews
A poorly-done, slow-moving, non-scary, low-budget, (feel free to add hyphens
liberally), illogical, predictable, uninteresting ripoff of Rosemary's Baby
with a little The Amityville Horror thrown in for bad measure. This is another
notorious example of a film that forced us to add the category "Unfulfilled
Promise of Nudity." I am unable to think of positive attributes for this
film, but since there were at least five sequels made, somebody somewhere must
have paid to see it. I don't get that, since it was really bad and my best
advice is to stay away.
Best Scare: A tie between repeatedly seeing the boom mike and the heroine's
come-and-go English accent.
I'd Recommend It To: Someone who picked on me in Middle School.
The tyranist's thoughts
This one was downright boring. Now I have to admit that I found Rosemary's Baby a
little boring, but at least it was creepy and had me a little freaked out by the end. This is a blatant rip off of that
film and it does nothing to improve the boring aspect and everything to take away the creepiness. The most sickening thing
is knowing that there are nine sequels. How did this happen? It is unconscionable. Now I have to admit right up front that
I have never seen any of the sequels as I write this review. Maybe there will be something redeeming ala
Sleepaway Camp and its sequels. Still, there wasn't anything to make a sequel of.
