Rish Outfield's reviews
This one was about vampires and there was some clever dialogue, but of
course, like all the other films in this shameful series, it was all about
the nudity. tyranist and I rented this after watching such arty horror films
such as Don't Look Now and Lisa and the
Devil. A nice sorbet to clear
the pallet, as Wayne Campbell used to say.
I don't remember much about this except that the ending meant less than
nothing and amazingly, my favourite female character kept her clothes on.
Take that as you may.
The tyranist's thoughts
Typically these are bad, bad, bad and really this is no exception. I just happen to like vampire movies more than witch
movies.
Will Spanner is back yet again and this time the threat is an international syndicate of vampires that has plans for
the American blood supply. When a prostitute dies at a party and comes back to life on the table, the cops get a little
weirded out and call Spanner in for help. Gradually they track down the killer. Pretty much just like all the rest of
the movies in this series. Oh, and people have sex. As often as possible.
Really moving this series into vampirism helped it for me. I generally fill unfulfilled by these and don't want to ever
see one again. This one didn't leave me as unfulfilled. The vampire thing does it for me I guess.
In all other respects, this is one hundred percent typical of the series. Maybe more. There is some bad dialogue and very
mediocre acting. The plot doesn't always make sense especially since they have to find ways to insert sex scenes. The
ending on this one is particularly bad, but I'll forgive them.
