I know that you're out there asking why we would ever devote a section to just covering anthology videos. [Excuse me
tyranist, sorry to interrupt, but why would you devote a section just to covering anthology videos?--Rish] Well, I have
found in reviewing them, that it is often difficult to communicate all of the pertinent information. This page attempts to
not only catalog anthology videos, but provide details about their origins. Anthology videos are often all grouped around
a single author's stories. But which ones?
In addition, I have noticed that most anthologies were originally made for TV. To this end, they do not normally include
the level of violence and gore that most horror films do, but are made with a different motive in mind. These stories are
usually meant to be terrifying in their idea instead of in their delivery. We all watched Twilight Zone, those stories
scared us for days because of what they meant, not what they showed us. Anthology videos are pretty much down the
same line.
I've organized them chronologically. Since the idea behind this little project is to list the original authors behind the
stories in the videos, I have indicated the original author when I have that information or simply "No previous author" if
the story is an original teleplay. I hope you enjoy.
