Evanston, Wyoming 2-Stake FH Fair (2004):
It was their first Fair, so they weren’t sure what to expect.
They had
about 68 people attend. Eleven attendees filled out the
evaluation forms
provided. They geared their fair to non-members and put
advertisements on
the radio and around town--billing it as a Community Family History
Fair.
It was held on a Thursday night from 6-9 p.m. It began with
opening
meeting
for 45 minutes with a welcome by one of the stake presidents (the other
stake
president was there also) and a couple of speakers.
They had classes, displays in the cultural hall, and
full-time
missionaries there with a display. The
missionaries had beautiful singing voices and sang some songs as the
evening
progressed. They served lemonade and cookies.
They hope to make it an annual affair.
