The Fair was on a Saturday and
ran from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. It was the first FH Fair. They
had prayer meeting at 10:30
for all
the workers, conducted by the High Councilman over FH. One of
their Stake
Presidency, who is very experienced in FH presented 2 classes.
There were displays in the cultural hall--the full-time missionaries
had a
display,
etc. There were hands-on PAF classes on laptops and other
classes.
They had 3 children's rooms set up (and I
think they tended while
parents
attended classes). There was a children's church video ongoing in
the
Primary room and a coloring table with 12 religious/family coloring
pages to
choose from. Another room had 2 sisters assisting children in a
craft
project---creating a family tree (tracing the child's hand and
wrist).
The wrist was the trunk with the parents’ names; the fingers, spread
out, were
the branches, containing the names of the children in the family.
They then
glued 3 green leaves at the end of each finger). It was very
cute.
Teen girls were around helping also. The 3rd youth class:
Booklets
for the YW and YM Faith in God Awards and the stake primary president
helped
them fill out family group sheets for their requirements.
They had a
nice free lunch outside in the
pavilion:
They served hot dogs, chili, chips, lemonade, ice water, and LOADS of
cookies!
